The One Five is a mobile application built for universities with the goal of enhancing social and recreational experiences on campus. Designed for both college students and professors, the app helps build community through organizing and participating in events like pickup sports, board games, and other group activities.
The Challenge
Strategizing How Faculty and Students will Use the App
The core challenge was designing a user-friendly mobile experience that made it easy for students to create, discover, and join a wide variety of events. The app needed to be flexible enough to support everything from casual basketball games and spikeball in the park to video game competitions, all while maintaining a clean and intuitive interface. Additionally, it was crucial to define a clear strategy for how universities and students would utilize the app, both individually and institutionally.
The Solution
Simple & Intuitive
We designed and developed a modern mobile app centered around event scheduling with schools, students, and sports in mind. The interface was intentionally simple and intuitive, allowing users to navigate seamlessly through event creation and discovery. To support university-level management, we also developed an administrative web portal for schools to oversee and organize events on the backend of the app. This web portal allowed for intuitive content management and streamlined communication between students and administrators.
The Results

The mobile app made it easy for users to find or host events, while the admin portal provided schools with the necessary tools to manage participation and scheduling.
